It is a very big decision to choose a new kitchen that suits your home as there are so many different types of kitchens available on the market with so many different price tags. When choosing a material for your new kitchen bench top you can choose between many different solid stones, an artificial stone or laminate. Solid stone is the best as it is easy to clean, heat proof, scratch resistant and looks very solid and impressive. It is rather expensive compared to an artificial stone or laminate. Artificial stone is the most common as it still has some benefits of solid stone such as scratch resistance and some heat protection, looks very similar to solid stone but is relatively lighter and more affordable.  People looking to renovate their kitchens on a budget should choose the laminate. It looks nice and is only a fraction of the price. The downside to a laminate bench top is the fact that it has no scratch resistance and will bubble up if it is in contact with heat.  When we construct the actual kitchen cabinets we use Australian materials that are very strong and durable compared to Chinese imported kitchens. You should beware of these imported kitchens as the glues and resins they use in the construction of the chipboard cupboards is very cheap, this results in a very brittle material finish where cupboard hinges are forever falling off as the screws cannot screw in properly. We can assemble Chinese imported kitchens for you but we only recommend it if you are selling the house. The finished product will look fantastic until you start opening and closing the doors and they start falling off.  All this information will be discussed with you in further detail in your kitchen design consultation.
